Robert H. Hast

Mr. Hast is the former Director of Event Security for the National Football League (NFL). He brings extensive experience in global infrastructure security, physical protection and identity theft investigations to Powhatan Group clients.

Hast was responsible for maintaining oversight for special event security for the NFL. These major events include the Superbowl, NFL Draft, Pro Bowl and NFL Golf Tournaments. He was also responsible for participating as a government liaison on behalf of the NFL.

Prior to the NFL, Hast was the Assistant Comptroller General of Special Investigations for the Government Accountability Office. In this role, he directed a division of 35 Special Agents and support staff conducting investigations for Congress.

Hast has also served as Vice President Global Security and U.S. Investigations for MasterCard International. In this role, he was responsible for corporate physical security worldwide and had oversight on investigations on identity theft. In addition, Hast was the former Assistant Director in the Government Accountability Office conducting investigations Congressional investigations around the Freddie-Mac Mortgage Fraud.

Hast began his career with the United States Secret Service and retired as the Acting Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office.
